Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop and maintain enterprise systems in alignment with business requirements. You will lead offshore development teams, review code, and ensure technical standards are met.

The role requires hands-on cloud-native Java on Microsoft Azure, strong SDLC knowledge (Waterfall/Agile), excellent communication, and accountability. Independent work and strong collaboration with local and offshore teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating offshore development teams.
• Cloud-native Java on Azure is highly desirable.
• Familiar with Newgen BPM system.
• Strong SDLC knowledge (Waterfall/Agile).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, customize, implement, and maintain assigned systems in alignment with business requirements.
• Participate in gathering requirements, perform technical impact analysis, estimate development efforts, and create and review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage offshore development teams to ensure compliance with technical standards and quality benchmarks, while conducting code reviews to identify issues and enforce best practices.
• Conduct unit and system integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), prepare release procedures, and ensure smooth deployment of production implementations.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, develop workarounds, and conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues, recommending preventive actions to prevent future problems.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining cloud-native Java applications on Microsoft Azure is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Newgen BPM system is preferred.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and/or Agile).
• Excellent presentation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership of assigned tasks.
