Job summary

Apple is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Software Engineer to join IS&T in Singapore. You will design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java Spring Boot for backend and React JS for frontend, with emphasis on AI-assisted development and LLM-powered tooling to boost engineering workflows.

Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver scalable, dependable software that handles global complexity and large-scale data center operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in React JS and frontend tech (HTML, CSS, Vue, Tailwind).
• Experience with Redux and React Router for state and navigation.
• Java Spring Boot API development; Hibernate experience.

Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Software Engineer. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Java Spring Boot backend development and React JS frontend development, combined with experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and LLMs to enhance engineering workflows. They should be passionate about creating modern, intelligent, user-friendly applications. In addition to technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ideal candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with business partners from diverse backgrounds and varying technical expertise levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications leveraging Java for backend development and React JS for frontend interfaces


• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude to accelerate code generation, debugging and documentation.


• Design adaptable and efficient web applications that prioritize exceptional user experiences.


• Work closely with product managers, designers and technical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.


• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle including planning, designing, coding, testing and deploying applications.


• Conduct thorough code reviews, uphold coding standards and maintain high code quality across projects.


• Stay updated on emerging technologies, particularly in AI/ML and LLMs and proactively incorporate relevant innovations into the technology stack.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in React JS and related frontend technologies like HTML,CSS, vue, tailwind including experience with Redux and React Router.


• Experience in Java Spring boot based API development using JSON API spec.


• Hands-on experience with Hibernate.


• Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools.


• Familiarity with Claude skills, prompt engineering, MCP or similar agent orchestration patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Data Center Infrastructure Management domain.


• Experience in building, configuring and leveraging AI agents, Claude skills and LLM-powered capabilities to automate routine tasks, streamline workflows and enhance developer productivity.


• Understanding of responsible AI practices, including output validation and human-in-the-loop design patterns.


• Results-oriented and demonstrates ownership and accountability.


• Communicate clearly and collaborate with other team members.
