Job summary

Apple Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer, Security Server Applications to join IS&T. You will build secure, high-availability server-side software for a distributed database environment, with emphasis on multi-tenant security features and scalable design.

You will collaborate with partners and cross-discipline teams to capture requirements, write high-quality code, and address security audits. Strong Java/J2EE expertise, Spring Security, REST APIs and Linux scripting are desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java/J2EE development with security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, and React.js.
• 4–8 years of Java/J2EE experience; security-focused background.
• Understanding PKI, X.509, ASN.1 and authentication protocols.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting (Python, Perl, Bash).

Description

We are looking for a motivated and talented software engineer to work on server-side security software development in the distributed database environment. This software enables Apple to further improve the security features of current and future products. It requires a deep understanding of various security concepts and design patterns to produce high-quality, highly scalable multi-tenant applications.You are also expected to work with partners, project managers, and cross-discipline teams to understand and capture requirements. Lastly, you should be passionate about writing good quality code and appropriate to go through the scrutiny of detailed audits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in programming with a focus on developing high quality, robust and high available software solutions
• Deep programming expertise in Java and the J2EE stack, including Spring Security,
• Hibernate/JPA, REST API development, React.js and microservices-based design.
• Ideally 4–8 years of proven experience in Java and J2EE development, including Security Engineering
• Understanding of PKI, X.509, ASN.1, key exchange protocols, and authentication protocols
• Good understanding of various distributed system concepts, Oracle, Kaea and caching.
• Strong foundation in developing and integrating ML and generative AI models
• Experience with Linux/Unix platforms and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Bash.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate well within a distributed team environment
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
