Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Co-Development Business Unit on a 1-year contract. You will help build a modern, full‑stack platform that automates grant administration, eligibility, and computation of grant quantum.

You will own the design and implementation of workflows, decision services, and the integration layer, connecting intake, decisioning, and disbursement across government platforms with robust monitoring and observability.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in CS/IS/CE or related field or equivalent experience.
• Cloud and infrastructure experience with modern cloud/container platforms (Kubernetes, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, Opentofu or similar tools.
• Experience building integrations via APIs with reliability, security and traceability.
• Familiarity with React/Node.js stack for UI/application integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; curiosity for new tech (low-code like Opus).
• Experience with GovTech SG cloud or GovTech ecosystem (SHIP-HATS, GatherSG, ApplySG).
• Ability to design/develop solutions for complex, ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

• Establish production-grade infrastructure and CI/CD for a new grants platform.
• Enable multiple grant schemes to automate spreadsheet computations.
• Deliver system integrations across intake, decisioning and disbursement.
• Shape engineering practices in an early-stage platform team.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure for development, staging, production.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test, release, deployment.
• Containerise the app with Docker and manage environments as code (Terraform / Opentofu).
• Develop workflows and decision services on Opus to model case management and grant logic.
• Create robust data integrations between systems with error handling and observability.
• Collaborate across stakeholders; contribute to technical specifications in agile delivery.
