Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Design elegant systems abstracting complex patterns, ideally in financial services.
• Strong systems thinking, code quality, and documentation; Kotlin preferred.
• Maintain high standards operating and supporting production payment systems.
• Follow engineering, security, and design best practices consistently.
• Make decisions collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and domain experts.
• Bridge gaps between teams and collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure services strengthening payment processing, security, and customer trust
• Collaborate with systems and teams to build robust global payment infrastructure
• Engage engineering teams across Airwallex global offices to coordinate delivery
• Work with users and financial partners to ensure seamless payment integrations
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and reliable payment processing systems
• Troubleshoot production issues across different levels of the technology stack
• Own and optimize critical components within Airwallex online payment processing flow
• Drive payment integration processes and real-time transaction security assurance
