Job summary

Salt is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for a 12‑month renewable contract to work with a social media client. You will collaborate with engineers and game studios to build experiences, including platform services integration and game content.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of software development, strong Unity knowledge, C#/JavaScript, and AI/Prompt Engineering skills; you will operate independently in a fast‑paced, collaborative gaming environment on supported platforms.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 5–7 years software development experience.
• Proficiency in Prompt Engineering and AI skill creation.
• Proficiency in C#, PHP, Python, JavaScript, OOP, and component-based architecture.
• Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
• Extensive Unity experience including asset bundles, shaders, particles, and editor tools.
• Experience developing for current generation gaming platforms.
• Experience with version control and build systems.

In this role, you will work with a team of engineers and partner game studios to help build engaging experiences, including integrating new platform services, game content, and more.

Responsibilities

• Work with external Game Studio Developers to accelerate game creation and integration onto the client’s Platform.
• Work with internal engineers to provide feedback and guidance to improve product roadmap.
• Optimise various game systems to achieve best‑in‑class performance across all supported platforms.
• Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, testing, product release, and sustaining engineering.
• Help launch the next top titles and improve code quality and stability across multiple games.
