Job summary

LionsBot is hiring a frontend engineer to build interfaces for our autonomous cleaning robots across web, mobile, and on-robot displays. You will translate designs into pixel-perfect screens and ship features that let operators control and monitor robots in real‑world environments.

You will work fast, with live data streams over WebSocket, ensure performance, and contribute shared components. A strong React/TypeScript foundation and comfort with real-time dashboards are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of front-end development experience, including production apps.
  • Strong React and TypeScript expertise.
  • Solid HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript skills.
  • Experience building responsive UIs for web and mobile.
  • Familiarity with real-time data (WebSocket/WebRTC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build interfaces for robots across web, mobile, and on-robot displays.
  • Convert designs into pixel-perfect screens.
  • Ensure live data matches robot state in real-time.
  • Focus on performance: fast load times and low latency.
  • Create shared components to avoid duplicating work.
  • Ship features frequently with automated builds and small releases.
  • Collaborate with design/product, prototype, and iterate on details.
  • Raise the bar in code reviews and maintain a clean codebase.

Skills

React
TypeScript
HTML/CSS
WebSocket/Real-time
Mobile/Flutter or Dart

Job description

LionsBot builds autonomous cleaning robots. More than 5,000 of them are working right now in malls, airports, offices and factories across 30+ countries, and every one of them is driven by software. That software is what you would build. Small team, quick decisions, no bureaucracy, and hardware you can actually touch.

Most front-end work is invisible. Ours is not. People stand in front of your screens and press buttons that make a robot move. Get it right and someone who has never touched a robot before finishes their first shift without asking anyone for help.

You would join a team that ships fast and cares about how things are built. Plenty is already live, plenty is still to build, and there is real room to shape how we build it.

The problems, all real

  • A robot drives into a basement, Wi‑Fi drops mid‑mission, and someone is still watching the screen. Decide what the UI shows, and make sure it is never confidently wrong.

  • Thousands of robots streaming live state into one view, across 30+ countries and time zones. Make it load fast and stay smooth.

  • A touchscreen operated with gloves on, in a language you do not read. Make it obvious anyway.

  • Screens that live on very different devices. Make them feel like one product without building everything twice.

What you will do
  • Build the interfaces people use to run our robots. Web, mobile, on the robot itself, and whatever comes next.

  • Turn designs into screens that match what the designer drew, down to the pixel.

  • Make live data feel live. Robot state over WebSocket, dropped connections, stale data, offline. What is on screen matches what the robot is doing.

  • Keep it fast. Load times, transitions, latency from robot event to pixel. Measure it, then fix it.

  • Build shared components so we stop solving the same problem twice.

  • Ship often. Automated builds, small releases, nothing sitting in a branch for a month.

  • Prototype with design and product, argue about the details, then ship.

  • Raise the bar in code review, and leave the codebase clearer than you found it.

What we are looking for
  • 5+ years building front ends, with apps you took all the way to production yourself. Deployed, released, supported after.

  • Deep React and TypeScript.

  • Flutter or Dart is a big plus, as is any mobile framework. If you are strong in React and want to go deeper on mobile, we will back you.

  • Solid HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS. Comfortable with APIs and real-time protocols like WebSockets and WebRTC.

  • You have built UI on top of live data from real devices, not just forms and tables.

  • You learn fast and adapt. New codebase, new framework, shifting priorities, none of it throws you.

  • You ship quality work quickly. Fast and sloppy is easy, slow and perfect is easy, we need both at once.

  • An eye for detail. It bothers you when something is two pixels off.

Nice to have:
  • Robotics, IoT or connected‑hardware experience: fleet dashboards, telemetry, device control.

  • Depth in the mobile release process: staged rollouts, store review, hotfixes and rollbacks under pressure.

  • Embedded or kiosk‑style UI: touchscreens, limited hardware, gloved hands, harsh lighting.

  • Internationalisation and multi‑language UI across several markets.

  • Map and geospatial UI: our robots navigate real floors, so maps and live location are first‑class citizens.

  • Design‑system or component‑library ownership at a previous company.

  • Front‑end testing and CI discipline: component tests, visual regression, performance budgets.

  • Familiarity with ROS, OpenRMF, MQTT or other robotics communication stacks.

Why join:
  • Real ownership. The architecture and the standards are yours to shape.

  • our work is visible. Thousands of robots in 30+ countries are run through the screens you build. What you ship this month is on a shop floor next month.

  • Physical‑world software. Live robot state, real hardware, real constraints. Not another admin panel.

  • Small team, direct line to leadership, quick decisions, no bureaucracy.

  • AI‑forward team. We already use AI‑assisted workflows in production, and we will give you the tools to push it further.

If you’re a Software Engineer who’s passionate about building technologies that power robots and enhance people’s lives, we want you to join our team. Our work environment is dynamic and collaborative, and you’ll work with a team of experts who are as passionate about building robots as you are.
