Job summary

Tencent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the bank integration layer of a high-scale payment network. You will lead the integration of AI-driven engineering into core workflows, architecting global connectivity and resilient, secure transaction processing.

You will drive advanced distributed patterns for near-perfect availability and mentor junior engineers to elevate engineering practices across cross-border teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high-throughput banking/payments with ISO 20022/SWIFT knowledge.
• Expert Java & Spring Boot with focus on concurrency and distributed systems.
• Experience with secure, compliant-by-design architectures including OAuth2 and mutual TLS.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end integration gateways and standardize banking protocols into a scalable global network.
• Drive 99.99% availability using idempotency, circuit breakers and state machines for massive scale.
• Spearhead AI adoption with AI Agents to improve SDLC, automated testing and reliability.
• Own the security handshake architecture protecting the integrity of global transactions.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and mentoring.

You will be a technical 'force multiplier,' leading the charge in integrating AI-driven engineering (Agents and LLMs) into our core workflows. Architect Global Connectivity: Lead the end-to-end design of high-availability integration gateways, standardizing diverse banking protocols into a unified, scalable global network. Engineer Resilience: Drive 99.99% system availability by implementing advanced distributed patterns (Idempotency, Circuit Breakers, State Machines) to ensure zero-duplicate transaction processing at massive scale. Innovate with AI: Spearhead the adoption of AI-powered tools and autonomous agents to step-change our development velocity, automated testing, and operational reliability. Security & Integrity: Own the mission-critical security handshake architecture that protects the financial integrity of every global transaction. Technical Leadership: Set the bar for engineering excellence through rigorous design reviews, mentoring junior talent, and evolving our cross-border engineering culture.

Who We Look For

• Fintech Mastery: 5+ years in high-throughput banking/payments. Deep knowledge of ISO 20022/SWIFT and the technical orchestration of FX lifecycles (Locked-in vs. Real-time rates).
• Technical Depth: Expert-level Java & Spring Boot proficiency with a focus on concurrency and distributed systems (Kafka, RocketMQ, MySQL optimization).
• Security Expertise: Proven experience with 'compliant by design' architecture, including OAuth2, Mutual TLS, and digital signatures.
