Senior Software Engineer - Core Applications

As a talented professional, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engineering deliverables for Product Sales, Customer acquisition, and Servicing solutions. This includes Core Applications (Life Asia), CCM Solutions, Underwriting Engines, Workflow, Middleware Integration with Front End/Mobile applications, and more. You will collaborate closely with Business Product Owners, Tech-Delivery-Leads, and other technical team members to define the technical design for Product Launches, Post-launch product features build, Enhancements, and new project initiatives. Your role involves providing technical solutions to meet demand and guiding junior IT members in the team. Additionally, you will partner with business product owners to drive Product & Proposition target or Customer Service deliverables. Leading the technical delivery of assigned tasks/projects and building relationships with Delivery leads, other Engineering team members, and business users across the organization is crucial. Your ability to engage and articulate technical solutions across the team will be pivotal in this role. You will also contribute to the overall Policy Admin System architecture and design by providing best practice guidance and patterns. Maintaining knowledge and understanding of industry verticals is critical for effective implementation. Staying informed about the latest updates and developments in the Insurance/Financial Industries will enable you to support/suggest appropriate solutions for user needs. You should be task-driven and capable of controlling and committing to agreed timelines.Requirements:Experience:- Deep understanding of Life Policy admins features and functionalities- 8+ years of experience in the Insurance/Financial Industry with a minimum of 5 years supporting Core Policy Admin systems (LifeAsia, Life 400, Integral Life)- Knowledge of Surrounding applications like underwriting engine, Front end/mobile applications, and workflow- Good experience in omnichannel Integration- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies- Knowledge of integrating with other surrounding applications around core applications like Sales Portals, Workflow, and underwriting engines- Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset paired with strong communication skills- Very good conceptual and analytical skills and a high motivation to define process automation- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment- Experience in application integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) is an advantage- Strong understanding of Agile/Iterative delivery methodology- Academic: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields- Professional Certification(s): CRM, CCM, Cloud, Agile certification (Preferred),
