Job summary

Minden.ai in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to solve complex technical challenges, build reliable and scalable backend services, and collaborate with product, design and other engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

You will own full lifecycle from ideation to deployment, maintain APIs and distributed systems, drive best practices, and stay current with emerging tech while mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• At least 5 years of technical hands-on experience with product backend development.
• Developed and delivered software system for millions of users.
• Experience with debugging and diagnostic of distributed systems.
• Experience with performance optimization of various aspects of software systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available backend services and distributed systems.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle for both new and existing products and features, from ideation through deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineering teams to understand business requirements, provide technical recommendations, and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate actively in system architecture and technical design discussions, balancing scalability, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.
• Build and maintain APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and data processing pipelines that support large-scale consumer products.
• Partner with QA and DevOps/SRE teams to embed quality, observability, security, and operational excellence into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture decisions, operational procedures, and testing strategies.
• Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing automation, CI/CD, observability, security, and software craftsmanship.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
