Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp. We are seeking a seasoned backend engineer to design and build scalable services powering Grab's Transport App, collaborating with design and product teams to deliver seamless experiences.

You will own end-to-end delivery, perform code reviews, support on-call operations, and help establish technical standards while staying ahead of industry trends. This role offers a dynamic, inclusive workplace with global benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/SE/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
• Experience with backend systems, databases, caching, NoSQL, and app servers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services powering Grab's Transport App.
• Collaborate with Designers and PMs to deliver great user experiences.
• Own end-to-end software delivery from problem definition to production release.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support on-call operations and reduce on-call burden.
• Design SDLC workflows to boost team productivity.
• Establish technical standards for the team's software development.
• Stay current with new technologies to drive innovation.
