Senior Software Engineer, Babylon Core

As a Senior Software Engineer on the core team at Babylon, you'll contribute to the full lifecycle of key system components—from design to deployment and maintenance. You'll work on components such as the Babylon node and relayers connecting Babylon to other blockchains like Bitcoin and Cosmos.

We're looking for an experienced and crypto-native software engineer with deep knowledge of blockchain consensus and security. You're passionate about Web3, eager to make a high impact, and committed to top-tier engineering standards. You’re collaborative, accountable, and eager to support others across the team.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain Babylon's core blockchain software including full nodes, cross-chain relayers, and supporting infrastructure for the Bitcoin Staking protocol.
• Work closely with cryptography and security experts to ensure the network's integrity and resilience.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate new features, systems, and tooling into the Babylon ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of blockchain Layer 1 development experience, including at least one mainnet launch.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Cosmos module development.
• Proficiency in Golang.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/test/deploy workflows.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
