Job summary

Publicis Groupe in Singapore is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the APAC AI Development Hub. You will build scalable backend services, APIs, and platform components for AI and automation, collaborating with data scientists and product teams to productionise models and features.

You will contribute to architecture discussions, help design deployment pipelines, and ensure security and reliability across APAC projects while guiding junior engineers in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating production applications or cloud-based services.
• Designing and building APIs, integrations and backend services.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Familiarity with containers, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and security fundamentals.
• Ability to translate requirements into design and implement end-to-end solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the APAC AI Development Hub and help build and productionise AI, automation and machine learning solutions.

You will work alongside software engineers, data scientists, analysts, product and UX to turn prototypes into reliable, scalable products and services. As one of the more experienced engineers in the team, you will also provide technical guidance to junior engineers, contribute to engineering best practices, and help improve the overall quality of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, integrations and platform components supporting AI and automation products.
• Work with the Platform Lead to translate product and business requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product and UX to integrate models, data and features into production applications.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions, identifying practical approaches and trade-offs.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines, monitoring and other engineering practices needed to operate services reliably.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews.
• Support junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, knowledge sharing and pair problem-solving.
• Help establish and maintain pragmatic engineering standards and development practices across the team.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and proactively identify risks, dependencies and blockers.
• Ensure appropriate security, privacy and compliance considerations are incorporated into solutions deployed across APAC markets.
• Work with internal and external teams to integrate solutions with existing platforms and client technology environments.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including experience building and operating production applications or cloud-based services.
• Strong hands-on coding ability in backend technologies such as Python, Go, Java or Node.js.
• Experience designing and building APIs, integrations and backend services.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with containers, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and modern software development practunderstanding of system design, scalability, reliability and security fundamentals.
• Good understanding of system design, scalability, reliability and security fundamentals.
• Able to independently take a problem or requirement through technical design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where requirements may evolve as products are developed.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical considerations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to support less experienced engineers through technical guidance and constructive code reviews.
