Job description

Primary duties and responsibilities:

· Responsible for designing and implementing advanced features and functionalities within XR applications.

· Responsible for the ownership of complex coding tasks and ensure the performance scalability, and security of XR solutions.

· Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead to align development efforts with architectural goals.

· Responsible to debug, optimise and refactor code to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

· Responsible to mentor junior engineer and contribute to peer code reviews to uphold coding best practices.

· Research and experiment with emerging XR technologies and frameworks to drive continuous improvement.

· Responsible for the timely preparation and reporting of progress status updates to the Project Manager and other management.

· Responsible for managing and resolving all problems reported and service requests received during maintenance phase.

Pre-Requisites:

· Education Qualification:

o The candidate(s) should possess at least a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Media Technology or Equivalent.

o In the event this is not present, to demonstrate more than four (4) years of working experience in relevant roles.

· Competencies:

o Possess deep technical expertise in relevant programming languages for XR development such as C#, C++, Unity, Unreal engine, Meta XR frameworks.

o Possess advanced knowledge of development tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine or equivalent.

o Possess good proficiency in data structure algorithms so as to understand and apply complex sequence of instructions to solve problems and thereby optimise performance and develop innovative solutions for each XR project.

o Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break problems into manageable components thereby identifying efficient strategies to resolve problems.

o Ability to design, develop and articulate solutions based on strategic business or technical requirements.

o Ability to work independently and efficiently, manage timelines and expectations, and produce high quality deliverables (documentation, presentations and research).

o Demonstrate experience in designing, developing and managing the delivery of enterprise solutions to support business transformation objectives.

o Ability to provide constructive feedback and share technical knowledge with fellow software engineers.

· Working Experience:

Minimum four (4) years of XR / related software development experience

Employment is under a 3 year contract
