Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Rockwell Automation, you will be responsible for full stack development focusing on Digital Manufacturing solutions like Digital Twin, AI/ML, AR/VR, and Optimization. You will mentor team members, guide design and implementation techniques, decompose complex problems, and evaluate design alternatives. Join our Digital Manufacturing Software Development group, where we value knowledge sharing, innovation, learning, collaboration, and best practices. You will report to our Global Digital Manufacturing Architect.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Write well-documented, high-performance code meeting client standards.
2. Participate in design reviews and prepare design notes including requirements, problem definition, solutions, test scenarios, and migration considerations.
3. Develop iterative prototypes.
4. Conduct code reviews and receive feedback from team members.
5. Create and run unit tests across configurations.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
7. Engage with clients to gather requirements, develop functional specifications, and recommend solutions.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• 7-10 years of experience in software development or Industry 4.0, including Digital Twin, AI/ML, AR/VR.
• Experience with Python, C#, Java, or similar languages.
• Leadership experience in architecture, design, and application development focusing on Digital Manufacturing solutions.
• Ability to prepare work estimates, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Experience creating and executing unit and automated tests.
