Job summary

TLC Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Singapore team on a 12+ month contract. You will develop and deliver scalable software using Java and Kotlin within a financial domain, contributing to end-to-end delivery from design to production.

You will work in a dynamic Agile environment, focusing on high-quality code, security, and performance, with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills to resolve production issues under pressure.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Core Java and Kotlin.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, OOP.
• Experience with TDD, REST/SOAP, SQL optimization, JMS/MQ messaging.

• Analyse and resolve complex legacy defects that require advanced technical insight.
• Ensure adherence to coding, security, and performance standards.
• Collaborate in Agile teams (Scrum/XP), driving end‑to‑end delivery from design to production.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, maintaining stability under pressure.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong expertise in Core Java, Kotlin, JUnit, Spring Boot.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, OOP.
• Experience with TDD, REST/SOAP services, SQL optimization, messaging (JMS/MQ).
• Familiarity with DevOps, AWS cloud, CI/CD, containerisation.
• Exposure to tools such as IntelliJ, Git, SonarQube/SonarLint.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
