Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Major Incident Manager to take ownership of high-impact incidents. Qualifications

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Major Incident Manager to take end-to-end ownership of high-impact incidents, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication across technical teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

During Major Incidents:

  • Own and manage major incidents to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and escalate when needed.
  • Follow structured processes from incident detection to closure.
  • Trigger Crisis Management and work with Crisis Managers if required.
  • Set up bridges and chats for seamless coordination.
  • Communicate status updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive resolution decisions and manage the Incident WAR Room.

During Normal Operations:

  • Coordinate incident reporting and documentation.
  • Organize post-incident reviews and publish reports.
  • Maintain and update procedures, escalation trees, and documentation.
  • Track and report KPIs and trends to management.
  • Promote best practices and ensure process compliance.
  • Act as the Incident Management process owner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience.
  • 4–6 years hands-on experience in Infrastructure or Application Support.
  • Strong exposure to Crisis Management and IT Operations.
  • Experience in Capital Markets and Corporate Banking IT ecosystems.
  • Familiar with monitoring tools and job schedulers (e.g., CTRL-M).
  • Good understanding of technologies: SAN, Unix, Windows, Network, DBA, MQ.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts
