About Child Protection Specialist Centre (CPSC):

We are dedicated to providing quality home-based services and support to families and children experiencing abuse or severe neglect at home. Referrals are received from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) Child Protection Services to assist families and children identified as needing non-statutory services and support. Guided by a child-centred, family-focused, and community-based approach, our aim is to empower families to reach their fullest potential and provide ongoing support through life’s changes and challenges.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct risk assessment and safety planning.
2. Carry out social investigation, assessment, case formulation, intervention planning.
3. Prepare reports and case recordings in a timely manner.
4. Implement safety and intervention plans.
5. Conduct meetings, sessions, coaching with families, parents/caregivers.
6. Develop wraparound services to support high-need families through advocacy, referrals, and collaboration.
7. Provide emotional support, guidance, and brief counselling to selected families/children/young persons.
8. Supervise social workers.
9. Work two nights a week and occasionally on weekends.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
2. Preferably experience in child protection, mental health, and/or family violence issues.
3. Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
4. Possess maturity, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
5. Able to engage and work with children and adolescents.
