Job summary

Rainbow Centre Singapore is seeking a Social Worker for our Early Intervention program. You will conduct assessments, provide counselling, and collaborate with families, schools and community partners to support children with disabilities in pursuing a Good Life.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Social Work and be Accredited Social Worker or eligible for SASW registration; experience in similar settings or with special needs is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Social Work from a recognised university.
• Accredited Social Worker, or eligible for professional registration with the SASW.
• Experience working in a similar setting or with special needs will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of client needs, provide counselling, support and crisis intervention and participate in programme and policy development.
• Work closely with families, social and community agencies and volunteers to strengthen the circles of care around clients with disabilities.
• The social worker in our Early Intervention collaborates with schools to address psychosocial concerns of families and cultural differences.

Key Responsibilities

• The social worker in our special schools brings to the educational process an understanding of the psychosocial concerns of families and the influences of family, community and cultural differences as they interact with the educational process.
• The social worker will conduct assessments of client needs, provide counselling, support and crisis intervention and participate in programme and policy development.
• The social worker works closely with families, social and community agencies and volunteers to strengthen the circles of care around our clients with disabilities.

Key Requirements

• A Bachelor or Master's Degree in Social Work from a recognized university
