Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking seasoned engineers to join our team to design and implement an edge computing platform that deploys global, scalable and secure applications.

You will work across API definition, deployment, and operational management while writing clean code in Python or Golang. The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with SREs, and delivering highly available platform services with IaC pipelines using Terraform and Helm.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years in SRE/Platform/DevOps.
• Experience building distributed, highly available systems and network control planes.
• Strong Linux, Python or Golang development, and microservices experience.
• Familiarity with DNS, Containers, Kubernetes and at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Manage production environment availability, alerts, and remediation.
• Design and deliver infra solutions to deploy and manage service components.
• Evaluate open-source and proprietary tech to improve scalability and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor teammates; collaborate with development teams.
• Own platform software components, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Develop self-service tooling and IaC pipelines with Terraform/Helm.
• Address security vulnerabilities and participate in on-call rotations.
• Define platform-level SLOs/SLIs and drive operator efficiency.
• Collaborate with SREs, app engineers, and QA to improve developer experience.
