Job summary

F5 in Singapore is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable network services across global data centers, cloud platforms, and F5’s IP backbone.

You will own reliability, performance, automation, and incident response, mentoring engineers and collaborating with Architecture, Security, and Compliance to deliver robust connectivity and secure, compliant networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of network engineering experience in large-scale, multi-region environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with BGP and OSPF including route propagation and traffic engineering.
• Strong engineering and operational experience with JunOS; multi-vendor familiarity a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of BIG-IP architecture, iRules, LTM, DNS/GTM, and SSL/TLS.
• Hands-on experience with hybrid and cloud-native networking in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Proficiency in Python, Ansible/AWX, Git workflows, and automated validation pipelines.
• Strong incident leadership and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, build, and operate network solutions across data centers, cloud platforms, and product connectivity.
• Optimize global backbone routing and Layer 3 architectures with BGP/OSPF and traffic engineering.
• Implement secure segmentation and boundary controls to meet security/compliance needs.
• Deliver hybrid and cloud connectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP with interconnects and VPNs.
• Develop network automation using Python, Ansible/AWX, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own day-to-day network availability with monitoring, telemetry, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot complex routing/switching issues and lead major incidents when needed.
• Execute changes using MOPs, approvals, validation, and rollback plans.
• Partner with Security/Compliance to remediate vulnerabilities and secure configurations.
• Build security controls into automated workflows, including least privilege and logging.
• Validate network software and changes in controlled environments before production.
• Translate product/regulatory requirements into actionable designs with clear timelines.
• Manage vendor escalations, procurement, and lifecycle; evaluate new technologies.
• Maintain accurate runbooks and documentation for audits and operations.
• Mentor engineers through deep-dive sessions and post-incident reviews.
