GS Engineering & Construction Corp. seeks a site-based Civil Engineer to supervise all on-site reinforced concrete works for tunnel projects, ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.

You will coordinate critical-path activities, manage formwork, rebar, and concrete operations, and implement QA/QC inspections. The role requires a Civil & Structural Engineering degree, 5 years of field experience, and PE/RE status preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• 5 years of Working Experience.
• Registered Resident Engineer (RE) or Professional Engineer (PE) status is highly preferred.
• Office software proficiency.
• Experience in Infra-structure projects exceeding 200 million, preferably LTA projects.
• Certifications such as PE Assignee or Lifting Engineer are highly preferred.
• Experience managing Civil Works for Tunnel or mixed development projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction, materials, M&E, and site coordination.
• Experience coordinating with QPS, subcontractors, and multiple trades on site.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction standards, practices, and authority requirements.

Responsabilités

• Supervise all on-site RC works for tunnels (base, walls, and roof slabs) based on approved drawings and specs.
• Manage site operations and coordinate critical path activities.
• Oversee temporary works, formwork installation, rebar placement, and concrete pouring, curing, and joint treatments.
• Create RFIs and implement QA/QC inspections for rebar and form works, including pre-pour checks, slump tests, and sampling.
• Review shop drawings, BBS, and Method Statements to resolve site-fit issues proactively.
• Monitor structural alignment, dimensional control, and waterproofing details to ensure zero-defect underground construction.
• Maintain smooth communication with QPS and LTA.
• Coordinate daily activities and resource allocation for RC subcontractors to prevent interference.
• Enforce underground safety protocols, including confined space procedures, permit-to-work systems, and heavy lifting operations.
