Job summary

Woh Hup Group is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead on-site construction activities in Singapore. The role involves supervising engineers and foremen, ensuring workmanship quality, and coordinating with subcontractors and consultants to meet project schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Civil Engineering, with at least six years of building or civil project experience, and a proven track record of completing at least one full project cycle on time and safely.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
• 6 years of experience in building (commercial), and at least one full cycle of a building or civil project completed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and review master construction program and prepare catch-up program if applicable.
• Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen, ensure compliance to quality procedures & standard of workmanship; check quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed program for the site team to follow and complete on time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
• Prepare detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Coordinate between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower/material/equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with Consultants on submissions related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment/material/manpower, and control wastage.
• Adhere to safety practices in the workplace.
