Job summary

SHANGHAI TUNNEL ENGINEERING CO (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Civil Engineer/Construction Coordinator with 5+ years of heavy civil experience to support MRT/infrastructure projects. You will liaise with government authorities, plan work, coordinate with subcontractors, and prepare reports.

The role requires independent work, strong technical and analytical skills, and effective communication. You will implement QSHE policies and contribute to on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil engineering / MRT / infrastructure projects.
• Able to work independently with strong technical, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with LTA, QPS and other government authorities.
• Attend to technical matters at site by developing solutions to problems with engineering concepts, practices and techniques.
• Plan work and resources with reference to work program to ensure timely progress.
• Close coordination with sub-contractors, supervisors, surveyors, laboratory personnel, foremen and to ensure effective teamwork.
• Provide relevant information and reports to Construction/Project Manager regularly.
• Liaise with consultants on the day-to-day inspection on site.
• Sort out discrepancies and detailing problems in construction works with consultants and superiors.
• Implement policies, procedures and work instructions per QSHE requirements.
• Assist Construction Manager to prepare daily/weekly/monthly site reports and submit to planning department.
• Prepare MS, material and equipment requests.
