Job summary

Avensys Consulting in Singapore seeks an experienced Application Engineer – SI/PI/Pre/Post sales to deliver simulation-driven engineering support. You will work with customers, sales teams, and product specialists to provide technical expertise on EM simulation, SI/PI challenges, and high-speed PCB/package design.

The role requires 10+ years in SI/PI/EMC, hands-on tool proficiency (HFSS, SIwave, Q3D Extractor, Cadence Sigrity, ADS, HyperLynx), and strong customer-facing consulting experience

Qualifications

• We require 10+ years of experience in SI/PI, EMI/EMC, RF design, or EM simulation.
• Hands-on use of Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Q3D Extractor or equivalent tools is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed PCB/IC package design including DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SerDes, HDMI, DisplayPort.
• Experience supporting semiconductor, electronics, PCB, or system design customers.
• Proven customer-facing pre-sales or application engineering experience, including trainings and workshops in APAC.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for SI/PI simulations.
• Demonstrate products, run PoCs, and deliver technical presentations and customer workshops.
• Perform SI/PI analysis for high-speed designs using standard tools.
• Help customers resolve SI/PI/EMC/EMI challenges and share best practices.
• Create documentation, application notes, and guides; coordinate with global teams.

• Role Summary We are looking experienced Application Engineer – SI/PI to provide technical expertise and customer support for advanced electromagnetic simulation solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong domain knowledge in Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), high-speed digital design, and electromagnetic simulation, while collaborating closely with customers, sales teams, and product specialists to deliver simulation-driven engineering solutions.

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), EMI/EMC, RF system design, or electromagnetic simulation;
• Must have hands‑on expertise in Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Q3D Extractor, or equivalent electromagnetic simulation tools, with experience in Cadence Sigrity, Keysight ADS, HyperLynx, or similar SI/PI analysis solutions;
• Must have strong knowledge of high-speed PCB and IC package design, including technologies such as DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SerDes, HDMI, DisplayPort, along with a solid understanding of electromagnetic theory, RF fundamentals, PCB/package analysis, and EMC/EMI compliance;
• Experience supporting semiconductor, electronics, PCB, or system design customers, with the ability to solve complex technical challenges and optimize product performance;
• Proven customer‑facing experience in technical consulting, application engineering, or pre‑sales, including delivering customer training, workshops, technical seminars, and working with regional/global customers across the APAC region;

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical pre‑sales and post‑sales support for SI/PI simulation solutions;
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate simulation methodologies and workflows;
• Conduct product demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs), technical presentations, and customer workshops;
• Perform SI/PI analysis for high-speed PCB and package designs using industry‑standard simulation tools;
• Support customers in resolving complex signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) challenges;
• Deliver technical training and mentoring to customers on simulation best practices;
• Collaborate with the Sales team to identify business opportunities and support customer engagements;
• Develop technical documentation, application notes, and best practice guides;
• Coordinate with global product development and technical support teams to resolve customer issues;
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and EDA tool advancements.
