Job Summary: Mon to Fri: 9am-6pm

Position Title: Senior Shipbroker

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Facilitate negotiations and finalize agreements for the sale and purchase of vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

• Arrange and negotiate chartering contracts, including spot and time charters, aligning with client needs and market conditions.

• Monitor and analyze market trends, freight rates, and vessel availability to provide clients with informed advice.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime regulations and industry developments.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and other stakeholders.

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

• Prepare and review legal documentation related to transactions, such as contracts, charter party agreements, and bills of lading.

• Ensure all activities comply with international maritime laws and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field.

• 7 to 10 years of experience in shipbroking, with a focus on S&P and Chartering.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proficiency in maritime software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Membership with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) is advantageous.

• In-depth understanding of shipping markets and vessel operations.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
