A leading safety and environmental management company in Singapore is seeking a Senior SHE-Q Officer. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, facilitate SHE-Q training, and lead safety initiatives. Applicants should have relevant qualifications and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong leadership and communication skills are a must for this position.
The Senior SHE-Q Officer understands our SHE-Q policies like NINA and WoW. He/she provides basic SHE-Q activities like administration, instructions and supervision/control of our SHEQ responsibilities at site/project (like tender support, safety officer, quality and document control). He/she can communicate properly with clients and stakeholders. He/she acts as a professional representative of our SHE-Q values and rules
The Senior SHE-Q Officer ensures the development, implementation and maintenance of SHE-Q policies, programs, processes and management systems (e.g. NINA, WoW) to comply with company policies, client requirements and Local WSH requirements and standards. He/she is responsible for translating the SHE-Q program philosophy into support for the divisions and business units in achieving their annual and quarterly SHE-Q targets.
As an employee, the Senior SHE-Q Officer helps maintain our organization’s quality, safety, and environmental management system in the process of continuous improvement. In doing so, within his/her range of duties, he/she assumes responsibility for following all the measures taken by the company regarding quality, safety, and the environment.
Your responsibilities as a Senior SHE-Q Officer
· Ensure Compliance: Activities must comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and relevant regulations.
· SHE-Q Support and Training: Facilitate SHE-Q training and provide SHEQ knowledge and documentation for business value.
· Leadership: Lead by example as a SHE-Q representative for clients and stakeholders.
· Feedback and Improvement: Report to management, analyze processes, and initiate training and audits to enhance SHE-Q knowledge.
· Policy Implementation and Audits: Implement WSH procedures and conduct audits for offices, vessels, and suppliers.
· Incident Management: Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and conduct safety training.
· Risk Management and Reporting: Conduct risk assessments, track safety KPIs, and liaise with stakeholders to enforce HSE policies.
Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a Senior SHE-Q Officer if you have:
· MOM Registered WSHO and Safety Assessor qualifications are required.
· Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or Marine-related field.
· Completion of ISO Integrated Auditor and Biz-SAFE Risk Management courses, along with Incident Investigation training.
· At least 3 years in a similar role with knowledge of marine standards and local safety regulations.
· Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability in a multi-cultural environment.
