Qualifications

  • Supervise a team of mechanics for large repair projects as Lead Engineer.
  • Communicate with owners' representatives and write technical reports.

Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Senior Service Engineer (Ship Cranes) located in Jurong East. Our company is an international crane & deck machinery repair specialist and offers crane and deck machinery related repair services and parts supply to the Merchant Marine- and Offshore industry and you will be responsible for field service tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing deck cranes, grabs, windlasses, hatch cover hydraulics, and davits.

Qualifications:

  • Min 5 years' experience sailing as Electrical Officer on bulkers equipped with deck cranes and has carried out troubleshooting and repairing Marine Cranes, Windlasses & other hydraulic systems on board,
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of PLC controlled electro-hydraulic cranes & hydraulic machinery.
  • Able to read and comprehend electric and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Able to independently troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
  • Able to supervise a team of mechanics and carry out large repair projects as Lead Engineer on board, on voyage and in Ship Yards.
  • Able to write technical reports and able to communicate with owners' representatives.
  • Previous employment as service engineer with one of the leading deck crane manufacturers will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD) will be an added advantage
