Job summary

A leading company in technical support is looking for an experienced professional in Mechatronics Engineering to commission and troubleshoot container handling equipment across Asia and beyond. Ideal candidates should have substantial experience in heavy engineering equipment and be ready to travel extensively to various posts.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years’ experience with container handling cranes or similar heavy engineering equipment.
• Good knowledge of systems used in this industry.
• Willing to travel at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, troubleshooting, on-site training & technical support on freight container handling equipment.
• Feedback to designers and factory personnel on issues found on site.
• Assist sales teams with quotes and proposals for enhancements.

Job description

Working Location: Gul Circle
Working Hours: 5 days, Mon - Fri, 8:00am – 5:30pm
Salary: $4,000 to $5,500

Responsibilities:

• Commissioning, troubleshooting, on-site training & technical support on freight container handling equipment in ports in Asia, Australia, the Middle East and Africa.
• Provide feedback to designers and factory personnel on any issues found on site.
• Proposals for new features and enhancements on equipment in service & assist sales teams with compiling quotes.
• For the Middle East and Africa, the position is based in the United Arab Emirates with primary focus on the Port of Neom, Saudi Arabia.
• For Asia and Australia, the positions are based in Singapore.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent with 5 to 8 years’ experience with container handling cranes or similar heavy engineering equipment.
• Good knowledge and experience in debugging PLC programs, diagnostics and electrical & hydraulic controls & feedback.
• Willing and able to travel at short notice in the region.
