ALATAS SINGAPORE PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer - Marine Cranes & Deck Machinery to carry out field service, troubleshoot and repair windlasses, hatch covers, marine cranes and davits on ships and yards.
You will lead repair projects on board, supervise a team of mechanics, write technical reports and communicate with owners' representatives, leveraging your deep hydraulic, mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Alatas operates out of 14 offices worldwide, we offer field service, provide technical solutions for emergency repairs, large scale overhauls, load testing, inspections, component repairs, spare parts supply as well as supply of new cranes and upgrades to existing ones.
Our multi-disciplined Service Engineers are professionals in their field and are available attend to crane and deck machinery problems throughout the world.
To support our Singapore Deck Machinery Dept., we are employing experienced Senior Service Engineers -Marine Cranes & Deck Machinery as follows:
To carry out field service attendances to troubleshoot & repair Windlasses, Hatch Covers, Marine Cranes and Davits.
The successful candidate will have solid working experience with deck machinery makers such as:
- Aker Solutions
- Hatlapa
- IHI
- Kawasaki
- MacGREGOR
- Masada
- Mitsubishi
- Pusnes, Nippon Pusnes
- TTS Marine
The successful candidate will have:
Min 5 years' experience in inspection, troubleshooting and repairing Windlasses & Hatch Covers.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of hydraulic & mechanic marine machinery.
Be able to independently troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical and electrical problems.
Able to supervise a team of mechanics and carry out large repair projects as Lead Engineer on board, on voyage and in Ship Yards.
Able to write technical reports and able to communicate with owners' representatives.
Previous employment as service engineer with leading deck machinery manufacturers will be an added advantage.
