Job description

The candidate application data is kept on the career site servers and sent en-mass back to the Workday tenant when the user clicks submit on the last step. Once the user hits submit, we make POST requests with that data to multiple REST end-points sending the job application back to the Workday tenant). The system will clear out / time out after 60 minutes of inactivity (for records that were not submitted back to Workday)

We are looking for Senior Service Engineer to be responsible to offer expert advisory services to customers and third-party contractors on both existing and newly acquired equipment and components to ensure that all service work complies with applicable regulations and encourage strict adherence to safety practices, collaborate with the Service Manager to improve and streamline the operational tasks of the service team.
Your key roles are:
Support the installation and commissioning of equipment and components as needed.
Respond to service calls for both preventative and reactive maintenance, performing service and repairs on products and systems to meet customer requirements.
Maintain accurate records of job progress, including any delays, issues, deliveries, changes, extras, and any engineering or fabrication errors.
Provide comprehensive reports on completed projects, detailing activities performed, faults identified during service, and recommendations for future service improvements.
Train customer personnel on equipment maintenance and repair techniques to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Conduct audits at customer sites to identify and document opportunities for process improvements.
Ensure that all service work complies with applicable regulations and encourage strict adherence to safety practices.
Prepare accurate, professional internal documentation, including checklists and corrective action reports.
Handle complex assignments independently, tackling demanding service activities and providing senior-level expertise. Guide and influence colleagues within areas of expertise.
Engage in customer discussions regarding work scope, cost estimation, and vendor negotiations.
Ensure adherence to Valmet’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Policy and ISO Quality Management System (QMS) Policy.
Act as a technical ambassador by visiting key potential customers and identifying technical sales opportunities.
Engage and collaborate with distributors to provide technical and sales support, enhancing sales opportunities.
Assisting the sales team by providing technical expertise in customer discussions, demonstrations, and proposals, helping to identify potential upgrades or additional products that meet customer needs.
Participate in internal training programs to strengthen the service team's competencies.

Requirements:

Relevant educational qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Flow Control sector, particularly within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong ability to maintain relationships with customers in a variety of situations.
Able to work independently while receiving guidance from senior team members and supervisors.
Demonstrates proactive communication skills, providing feedback and sharing ideas to enhance work efficiency.
A genuine enthusiasm for leveraging world-class technology for the benefit of customers.
Familiarity with customers' processes and/or knowledge of flow control and valve technology is an advantage.
Willing to travel as needed.
