Job summary

Pave Bank is building the next generation of programmable banking infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer who combines software engineering with deep security expertise to secure fintech systems in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will run security testing, review code, and partner with Product and Engineering to ship secure solutions. This role requires hands-on coding in Go, Rust, or Java and a passion for staying ahead of evolving threats in crypto and payments.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with a security background.
• Experiences in fintech, banking, payments, or crypto security.
• Hands-on experience with red teaming and penetration testing.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise and communicate security issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review platform and product code to identify security vulnerabilities and attack paths.
• Conduct red team exercises and penetration tests across applications and systems.
• Identify, investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Work with Product and Engineering to build and ship secure solutions.
• Review code and system designs from a security perspective.
• Write tools and automation to improve security testing.
• Continuously test internal and external apps for vulnerabilities.
• Educate engineering teams on secure coding practices.
• Stay current on threats and attack techniques relevant to the systems.
• Assist with third-party app security reviews and tests.
