Job summary

StarHub Ltd in Singapore seeks a Senior Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity, BCM execution, risk assessment and incident response across platforms. You will validate business impact analyses, conduct CIA/SIA, and design security controls to protect critical assets.

You will collaborate with IT and development teams, communicate findings to both technical and executive stakeholders, and stay on-call during incidents, bringing hands-on expertise and leadership to drive security improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• 3–5 years’ experience in cybersecurity, risk assessment, and BCM, with hands-on technical exposure.
• Relevant security certifications are advantageous or in progress (e.g., GCIH, GCFA, CISA, CISSP, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity & BCM execution: validate BIA, conduct CIA and SIA, design security solutions to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from threats.
• Security Operations & Incident Response: participate in tabletop exercises, support incident analysis, and contribute to IAM and automation tasks.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: work with Business/IT to embed security requirements and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Description

Responsibilities

1. Cybersecurity & BCM Execution

• Support and validate Business Impact Analysis and critical business function identification.
• Conduct Customer Impact Analysis (CIA) and System Impact Analysis (SIA) for ongoing operations.
• Assist in designing and implementing security solutions that support StarHub’s ability to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats.
• Perform security assessments, system reviews, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

2. Security Operations & Incident Response

• Participate in planning and executing cyber tabletop exercises (TTX).
• Support incident response handling, including analysis of logs, activity review, and packet capture.
• Contribute to security operations activities, including identity and access management, privileged access monitoring, and automation/orchestration tasks.

3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with Business/IT and development teams to embed security requirements into infrastructure and applications.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting security assessments and findings.

• On-call availability during critical cybersecurity incidents.
