Energy Market Company Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Security Analyst (Governance, Risk & Compliance) to oversee security programmes, controls and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

You will lead audits, manage access governance, risk assessments and collaborate with SOC and external providers to strengthen cybersecurity posture and protect critical information assets.

Qualifications

  • Requires degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Security Analyst (Governance, Risk & Compliance) to manage security programmes (such as cybersecurity risk management) and security controls across the company, ensuring compliance with security policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and security technical architecture, including application security. The role will also manage the design and implementation of preventative and detective security processes and procedures.

The Senior Security Analyst reports to the VP, Technology (Security).

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage security programmes across the Company, including cybersecurity risk management and security controls, to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, security technical architecture (including application security), and regulatory requirements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain preventative and detective security processes, procedures, controls, and governance measures to strengthen the organisation's cybersecurity posture and safeguard critical information assets.
  • Maintain and enhance security policies, frameworks, standards, and procedures in accordance with government regulations, industry best practices, and organisational requirements. Conduct regular briefings, awareness programmes, and training sessions for internal staff and contractors on security measures, vulnerabilities, and emerging security trends.
  • Manage internal and external security audit activities, including audit planning, coordination, tracking of audit findings, and ensuring the timely implementation and closure of remediation actions. Support compliance monitoring and continuous improvement efforts relating to ISO/IEC27000 certification and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and ensure authorised access governance in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements, including reviewing, approving, revoking, and tracking access rights and exceptions where required.
  • Maintain the cybersecurity risk register, perform cybersecurity risk assessments, monitor risk mitigation plans, and follow up on remediation actions to ensure identified risks are addressed within stipulated timelines. Escalate significant risks to Management where necessary.
  • Conduct security risk assessments for new projects, systems, and initiatives, and provide recommendations to ensure security requirements are appropriately addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage security-related change controls for projects and operational enhancements, ensuring that security implications are properly assessed and mitigated prior to implementation.
  • Provide security advice and guidance to project teams, business users, and technology teams to ensure compliance with established security policies, frameworks, standards, and regulations. Identify security risks and develop appropriate security requirements and mitigation measures.
  • Evaluate vendors' security solutions, security architecture, controls, and processes to ensure alignment with organisational security requirements, standards, and risk management objectives.
  • Support Security Operations Management by monitoring the performance of Managed Security Services (MSS), managing external security service providers, and ensuring security infrastructure availability in accordance with agreed service level requirements.
  • Oversee cyber threat monitoring and detection activities in collaboration with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and relevant service providers to ensure timely identification and response to cybersecurity threats.
  • Manage Penetration Testing, Application Source Code Vulnerability Assessments, and Vulnerability Assessment (VA) activities, including coordinating assessments, reviewing findings, tracking remediation efforts, and validating closure of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Perform triage and assessment of the criticality, severity, and business impact of security incidents, and work closely with Technology Infrastructure and Application teams to coordinate incident tracking, remediation, containment, and resolution activities.
Requirements
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of fronting and supporting cybersecurity risk and controls management programs with good knowledge and experience of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Possess diagnostic skills and recovery experience in IT infrastructure, systems and applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively and manage vendor relationships professionally.
