Job summary

A.I.R LEARNING HUB PTE. LTD. is seeking a qualified Science educator to deliver engaging lessons for Primary and Secondary students in Singapore. You will develop and refine the curriculum, prepare materials, and assess progress to support student outcomes.

The role entails collaborating with the Academic Department, mentoring junior teachers, and contributing to curriculum development initiatives. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Science, Education, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Science subjects with ability to teach Primary and/or Secondary Science effectively.
• Proven teaching experience delivering structured, engaging, and results-oriented lessons for diverse learners.
• Demonstrated curriculum development skills to design and improve Science programmes and course structures.
• Proven ability to develop and edit comprehensive teaching materials and academic resources.
• Ability to align curriculum with Singapore syllabus and exam requirements using effective teaching methodologies.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills to guide and mentor students.
• Collaborate with Academic Department to maintain and improve Science curriculum and resources.
• Experience in curriculum planning, textbook/material development, or leading Science programmes is advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Chinese for student/parent/colleague communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Science lessons aligned with Singapore syllabus for Primary and Secondary students.
• Develop and continually improve Science curriculum, lesson plans, schemes of work.
• Create, write, edit, and review teaching materials such as notes, worksheets, and papers.
• Regularly update curriculum to ensure accuracy and appropriate difficulty for learners.
• Assess student progress to identify gaps and provide targeted guidance.
• Provide feedback and communicate progress to parents when required.
• Collaborate with the Academic Department to maintain high teaching standards.
• Mentor junior teachers with effective planning and use of materials.
• Participate in academic meetings and curriculum development initiatives.

Job Summary

Deliver engaging Science lessons for Primary and Secondary students aligned with Singapore syllabus and exams. Develop and improve curriculum and teaching materials. Assess student progress and collaborate with academic teams to enhance learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for Primary and Secondary students aligned with Singapore syllabus and examination requirements
• Develop, design, and continuously improve Science curriculum, including course structures, lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning objectives
• Create, write, edit, and review teaching materials such as lesson notes, worksheets, practice questions, revision packages, and assessment papers
• Regularly update curriculum content and teaching materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, appropriate difficulty, and alignment with student learning needs
• Assess student academic performance to identify learning gaps and provide targeted guidance and learning strategies for improvement
• Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate academic progress and improvement areas to parents when required
• Collaborate with other teachers and the Academic Department to maintain consistent teaching standards, share resources, and enhance academic quality
• Mentor junior teachers by sharing effective teaching methodologies, lesson planning practices, and use of teaching materials
• Participate actively in academic meetings and curriculum development initiatives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Science, Education, or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Science subjects with ability to teach Primary and/or Secondary Science effectively

• Demonstrated curriculum development skills to independently design, review, and improve Science programmes and course structures
