Job description

Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our portfolio spans transmission and substation applications, facilitating reliable and efficient system integration for the digital electric network with minimal environmental impact. We offer integrated systems, solutions, and services in DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. Our Power Consulting services cater to key energy system segments like renewables, transmission, distribution, and e-transportation.

The Opportunity:

Lead sales and marketing for the Grid Integration business unit in Singapore and regionally for renewables. Own the achievement of order targets and profitability, including marketing, lead generation, direct sales, tendering, and contract negotiations. Support regional segment goals and develop marketing and pre-sales strategies, working closely with various teams to structure proposals and contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and contractual obligations.

How you’ll make an impact:
  • Understand market opportunities in renewable energy within Grid Integration for Singapore and the region, develop and implement sales strategies, and identify potential and existing customer opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities and formulate strategic responses.
  • Promote product and service offerings based on customer needs, manage pre-bid queries, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers, coordinate with internal teams to fulfill customer requirements, and support contract negotiations and risk management.
  • Collaborate with regional sales leaders to pursue opportunities and expand business, prepare sales proposals, and manage sales processes and training.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background:
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering with relevant power system experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in electrical equipment with a proven track record.
  • Experience in similar industries is advantageous. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong risk and contract management skills, team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership, collaborative approach, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
