Job description

Job Description:

  1. Review sales and other revenue-generating business plans, identify gaps, and implement proactive measures to optimize hotel room bookings, F&B venues, and conference space capacity to meet targets.
  2. Contribute to the hotel’s overall selling strategy and ensure alignment across departments to maintain high-quality standards and proactive selling.
  3. Conduct competitive analysis of the local market and implement strategies to ensure the hotel remains competitive.
  4. Develop and mentor the Sales Team, ensuring they embrace high-quality standards and proactive sales techniques.
  5. Respond to and convert incoming inquiries to achieve revenue targets.
  6. Handle group RFPs, create proposals, present to prospective clients, and negotiate and close hotel sales.
  7. Maintain accurate data entry of group and meeting inquiries using Delphi FDC.
  8. Build strong, lasting relationships with customers to fully understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  9. Conduct briefings, meetings, and property tours to drive results and business opportunities.
  10. Make sales and telemarketing calls to engage prospective clients and solicit business.
  11. Host potential clients during site inspections and entertainment activities, where appropriate.
  12. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in hotel operations and other departments to maximize opportunities.
  13. Develop and submit weekly sales activity plans, including business leads and reports, in line with the Director of Sales’ requirements.
  14. Represent the hotel at industry events, trade fairs, and workshops, in coordination with the Director of Sales and the Business Development Department.
  15. Support the Director of Sales in coaching and training team members, as well as conducting performance-related assessments.
  16. Assist the Director of Sales and Commercial Director with other delegated duties.

Requirements:

  1. Strong sales background in MICE, preferably in a luxury setting. A self-motivated and results-driven salesperson.
  2. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degrees, are preferred.
