Position summary statement:
The Senior Sales Manager assists the Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing sales strategies and plans. He/she provides support in the daily operations of the department and is responsible for achieving or exceeding the room revenue budget in their designated markets for the three serviced suites.
Primary Responsibilities
- Builds strong relationships with corporate accounts through negotiations, problem-solving, and mutual trust to maximize business potential.
- Maintains a minimum of 5 effective sales appointments or client engagements daily.
- Develops new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts within the assigned industry segment.
- Achieves or exceeds rental revenue targets set by management across all three serviced suites.
- Identifies, develops, and evaluates sales strategies for all three serviced suites, aligning with business objectives, market dynamics, and pricing considerations for extended stay and corporate/transient segments.
- Assists in preparing, administering, and documenting proposals and terms & conditions.
- Manages all incoming inquiries within the assigned portfolio and responds to customer needs promptly and effectively.
- Delivers engaging and tailored presentations to prospective clients to showcase the value and offerings of the serviced suites.
- Coordinates and participates in local and overseas trade shows, collaborating with relocation agents and corporate decision-makers to promote the serviced suites.
- Submits timely weekly and monthly sales activity reports, prospect updates, and forecasts for management review.
- Oversees the accuracy of the client database and related account information.
- Conducts market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and the competitive landscape.
- Acts as a team lead within the department to mentor new associates on sales portfolio, workflow, and processes.
- Works closely with Revenue and Reservation teams to optimize rate strategies, length of stay, and segment mix.
- Serves as the property champion for an assigned serviced suite.
