Job title: Senior Sales Executive (Plastics & Chemical)

Our client is an MNC chemical trading company in Singapore. They are looking for a Senior Sales Executive who will be handling the engineering plastics, polyurethane chemicals & silicone products.

Reporting to: Senior Manager

Responsibilities
  1. Drive sales and marketing efforts for engineering plastics, polyurethane chemicals, and silicones across the Asia-Pacific region.
  2. Manage credit control by setting up credit lines, analyzing customers' financial status, and ensuring compliance with company requirements.
  3. Collaborate with overseas offices to expand sales opportunities and manage relationships with existing and potential customers.
  4. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, working closely with them to align with the company's short-term and long-term goals.
  5. Plan and strategize with suppliers to optimize pricing, distribution, and market positioning.
  6. Monitor pricing trends by managing monthly or weekly price updates from suppliers to customers and distributors.
  7. Conduct semi-annual sales reviews with suppliers and distributors to assess performance against sales budgets.
  8. Prepare sales reports (monthly or as required) to track performance and inform business decisions.
  9. Strengthen customer relationships to maximize business opportunities and market share.
  10. Support sales presentations for new product grades to customers.
  11. Oversee customer support activities, ensuring alignment with product marketing strategies and company objectives.
  12. Ensure regulatory compliance across all sales and marketing activities.
  13. Assist principals in achieving sales targets, adhering to fixed price lists and company policies.
  14. Manage outstanding invoices and handle customer complaints to ensure timely resolution.
  15. Provide market intelligence, sharing insights within the team to drive strategic decision-making.
  16. Coordinate agent activities, technical services, and marketing initiatives to enhance end-user engagement and distribution efficiency.

Requirements & Preferences

(Must)

  1. Polytechnic Diploma holder in Marketing, Chemistry, Business Admin or similar
  2. At least 5 years of sales experience for Chemicals products or Trading industry
  3. Familiarity and experience handling the market within the Asian region
  4. Experience in import & export business (forwarding & trading activities)
  5. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint (Strong presentation skills are required)
  6. Willingness to travel for business needs (around 1-2 times per quarter) within the Asian region

(Advantageous)

  1. Hands-on experience or knowledge in Engineering Plastics, Rubber/PU application & Rubber/PU machine operation would be preferred.
  2. Experience working in a Japanese company would be ideal
  3. Ability to join within 1 month or shorter will be preferred
