A leading company in the materials science industry is seeking a Senior/Sales Engineer to drive sales processes in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for customer consultation, achieving sales objectives, and building relationships within the industry. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3-5 years of relevant sales experience.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.45pm (Flexi Time can be earlier or later )
Position Overview
The Senior/Sales engineer actively drives the ZwickRoell sales process, achieves the annual sales objectives in the designated territory with primary focus on Singapore. The Senior/Sales engineer ensures a sustainable mid to long-term growth. He/She consults, excites existing customers and wins new customers in an international environment by applying global and localized ZwickRoell Group strategies, guidelines & policies. By sharing the same ZwickRoell values and spirit he/she becomes an interactive valuable contributor in our diverse and intercultural environment.
Job Responsibilities
Gather and understand insights into customers’ needs and environment by visiting potential customers, qualifying leads and further develop opportunities promptly.
Consult customers by utilizing the unique globally networked ZwickRoell Xperience Center, applying CVPs, arranging pre-test and interacting with our worldwide application & industry experts.
Perform sales administrative responsibilities in connection with preparing, reviewing and delivering final quotes as well as processing customer orders to ensure it meets agreed technical and commercial terms.
Achieve annual sales plans and strategic goals, driven by qualitative & quantitative objectives by applying our international TopSell principles.
Actively drive lead finding activities. Organizing ZwickRoell Forum, Seminars, Webinars and other customer centric events in Singapore and Overseas to highlight and network jointly with the regional marketing team.
Manage and ensure high-quality data in accounts, contacts, opportunities, campaigns, forecasts by utilizing the ZwickRoell CRM system.
Permanently develop industry and application knowledge and expertise preferably in Plastics or Medical industry applications.
Regularly gain market information to identify growth potential, to evaluate competitor developments and interact with the local and international industry experts.
Build up successful business relationships with key decision-makers, associations and influencers by also proactively utilizing social media, specifically LinkedIn.
Other duties as well as management & company projects may be assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Automation / Robotics / Instrumentation / Materials)
Experience
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience with sales in premium capital equipment preferably in materials science
Requirements
Open, passionate, customer oriented and able to work and contribute to a high-performance environment
Working experience in analytics, measurement or materials testing would be advantageous
Knowledge of plastics, medical testing applications or automation would be advantageous
Proven ability to build relationships and influence customers
Strong communication and presentation skills utilizing state-of-the art technologies and digital tools
Proficiency in English language
