The regional Senior Sales Director develops sales strategies for all expos within IAPL, and enhances products to complement market conditions and client needs. As the key accounts relationship manager for the region, the sales director may also represent IAPL at various industry events and workshops to promote the professional Audio Visual industry within the APAC region.

Overall Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities
Revenue generation
- Build long-term relationships with customers and understand their businesses and marketing strategies to become a trusted trade show consultant
- Achieving and surpassing exhibition revenue, sales targets and new exhibitor acquisition
- Leads and drives sales and pricing strategy with the extended sales team (sales agents) to develop event portfolio, market and offer value-based packages based on customer objectives
- Lead and drive sales strategy and campaign, including exhibitor promotion activities and tools towards a clear goal
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation strategies
- Provide timely updates to team on sales pipeline and closed deals for marketing attribution
- Provide timely feedback to team on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Provide constructive input on messaging that resonates with potential exhibitors and sponsors.
Collaboration
- Share insights on customer pain points and preferences to inform marketing campaigns on a regular basis
- Cooperate with marketing to follow/establish a regular schedule for sharing exhibitor data to enhance effective marketing messaging for visprom
- Assist in curating high-quality exhibitor content that aligns with the show's goals and audience interests, and effective marketing messaging for visprom
- Contribute to the development of customer personas and buyer journey mapping
- Lead proactive engagement with exhibitors and sponsors to communicate marketing opportunities and audience insights, while guiding them in leveraging available branding and promotional opportunities to actively enhance their visibility.
- Collaborate on tailored communication assets: For exhibitor or sponsor specific materials, to supply detailed input on objectives and messaging, while marketing ensures alignment with overarching branding and strategic positioning.
Developing Exhibitor promotional marketing strategies and tactics
Build sales budget and periodic forecasts
- Support marketing events and trade shows with sales team presence and follow-ups
Guide the sales agents to guide country sales strategies and consolidate to region
Guide sales team to build/develop, prepare and maintain exhibitor prospect list and sales leads across multiple events
