Job summary

A leading company in the robotics sector is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote support, coordinate projects, and foster customer relationships. Applicants should hold a degree in engineering and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and industrial robotics. The role also involves supporting the sales team on technical evaluations and solution development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Experience in industrial robotics, medical devices/equipment, factory automation, welding machine is a plus.
  • Knowledge in PLC programming is essential.

  • Provide on-site or remote technical support for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.

Job description

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.
  • Coordinating and executing projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
  • Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing specialist support and solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities for the development of new service applications, equipment, and methods.
  • Provide Support to Sales Team, inclusive of Robot Simulation, cycle time evaluation and accessibility check.

Requirements:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic/ Robotics/ Automation/ Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in mechanical repair and maintenance.
  • Experience in industrial robotics, medical devices/equipment, factory automation, welding machine will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and programming is a must.
  • Independent and positive personality.
