Job summary

BVNK is seeking a Head of Risk – Singapore to lead risk management for BVNK’s Singapore business and strengthen regulatory footprint across the region. You will work with senior leadership to embed a robust risk framework aligned with BVNK’s global approach.

You will oversee risk appetite, KRIs, EWRA, and governance, coordinating with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to support growth while maintaining regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in risk management within regulated financial services (payments, e-money, fintech, banking or digital assets).
• Strong knowledge of Singapore financial services regulation and MAS-regulated businesses.
• Proven experience developing, implementing and maintaining ERM frameworks, policies and processes.
• Strong understanding of risk appetite frameworks, KRIs and risk governance.
• Experience providing second-line risk oversight within a regulated organisation.
• Experience engaging with regulators and governance forums; ability to communicate complex risk clearly.
• Strong experience preparing risk reporting for senior management or Boards.
• Ability to balance regulatory expectations with rapid business growth.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment.
• Collaborative leadership style and building risk culture across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee BVNK Singapore's risk framework, meeting local regulations and aligning with Group risk.
• Partner with senior leadership to ensure a consistent and scalable risk management approach.
• Establish and maintain Singapore entity's risk appetite, policies and processes.
• Lead the Singapore EWRA to identify, assess and mitigate material risks.
• Develop and embed KRIs and other risk metrics for timely risk visibility.
• Provide independent second-line oversight and challenge to the business.
• Ensure risk governance and escalation for risks outside appetite.
• Support MAS and other regulators with risk-related requests and reviews.
• Identify emerging regulatory developments and mitigations for BVNK Singapore.
• Collaborate across Group Risk, Compliance, Legal, Product and Ops to embed risk management.
• Promote a proactive risk culture across the Singapore business.
• Contribute to BVNK's global risk frameworks with local expertise.
