An established organization dedicated to the well-being of children and youths is seeking a compassionate and proactive individual to join their team. In this role, you will provide supervision and support to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a positive environment. You will lead engaging programs and collaborate with social workers to develop care plans tailored to individual needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young individuals, guiding them towards personal growth and development in a nurturing setting.
To provide close supervision and ensure residents’ well-being are taken care of by being available and accountable for their whereabouts.
To arrange with social worker on new admission, and to brief residents of the rules and regulations in the home.
To develop positive rapport with the children and youths and be role model for the residents.
To lead and conduct regular programmes and activities for the residents.
To provide inputs during the development and review of care plans for residents under your care.
To engage and encourage residents to participate in relevant programmes according to their individualised care plan.
To manage and monitor (including of timely documentation) residents’ medical/behavioural conditions in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure the living environment of the children and youths is clean and safe.
To liaise with relevant stakeholders on residents’ educational matters.
To lead and conduct team discussions and planning.
To ensure proper documentation and handover of information for the smooth running of the Home.
To utilise Home Management System for muster accountability and updating of movement.
To support the implementation of the model of care in accordance with the needs and profile of the residents.
Any other duties assigned.
Requirements
Diploma in any discipline.
2-3 years’ experience in social service setting.
Able to plan and coordinate daily routine, bonding and life skills programmes.
Able to interact positively with children and youths.
Able to enforce discipline standards in a fair and respectful manner.
Good team player with a high level of initiative and independence.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Able to do rotating shifts, would require to work night shifts.
