Job summary

A-STAR Testing & Inspection (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced RTO supervisor to oversee major construction works across buildings, tunnels, drainage and civil structures.

The role requires strong supervision, documentation, and compliance with codes, with emphasis on safety and quality control on site. Candidates should possess a Diploma in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical disciplines, JAC/ACES accreditation, BCSS and StS certificates, and proven ability to manage large-scale structural steel

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as an RTO, incl. 8 years in supervision of major construction works.
• Diploma in Civil / Structural / Geotechnical from a Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• Be accredited with BCSS and StS certificates.
• Experience supervising large span structural steel and precast construction.
• Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• Strong analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in keeping and maintaining proper and updated site records.

Job description

Key Requirements

• a. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least 8 years shall be in supervision of works similar in complexity, in particular major construction works in buildings, tunnels, drainage, structural steel works and foundation, flexible and rigid pavements, including works such as installation of monitoring instruments and collation of monitoring data.
• b. Possess a Diploma in the Civil / Structural / Geotechnical discipline from a Polytechnic or equivalent,
• c. Be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• d. Possess a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors' Safety(BCSS) Course. Possess a certificate of Structural Steel Supervisor (StS) under Singapore Structural Steel Society.
• e. Experience in supervising large span structural steel and precast construction.
• f. Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• g. Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• h. Competent in keeping and maintaining proper and updated site records on the progress of works.
• i. Pro-active in resolving and managing site issues with good team spirit
