Job summary

Dover Park Hospice in Singapore seeks a Senior Resident Physician to work alongside a Consultant and deliver patient care within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to developing comprehensive care plans and participate in teaching and training activities for clinical staff, students and medical officers.

The role also involves leading or supporting projects focused on clinical care, quality, service improvement or research, as well as performing administrative duties to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
• Must be fully registered with SMC and hold a valid practising certificate.
• Minimum 4 years of post-graduation medical training.
• Experience in palliative care is desirable but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Consultant and MDT to deliver patient care.
• Develop comprehensive care plans for patients under the team.
• Plan and deliver training sessions for clinical team members, students and medical officers.
• Participate in or lead projects focused on clinical care, quality, service improvement or research.
• Perform administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of the team and area of responsibility.

Job description

Reporting to the Senior Consultant, the individual will collaborate with a Consultant to deliver patient care. The individual will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans for patients and is responsible for planning and delivering training sessions for clinical team members, students and medical officers. Additionally, the individual participates in or leads projects focused on clinical, quality, service improvement, or research that benefits DPH. The role also includes performing administrative duties to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the team and the area of responsibility.

Job Requirements

• Medical degree recognised by Singapore Medical Council
• Min 4 years of post-graduation medical school
• Fully registered with Singapore Medical Council and hold a valid practising certificate
• Experience working in palliative care setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• Demonstrates effective teamwork, upholds respect and integrity, shows compassion with strong commitment to excellence in the area of work
• Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for Senior Resident Physician role
