Job summary

Bureau Veritas Buildings & Infrastructure Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to assist the QP(Supervision) with technical matters and to supervise tunneling works, particularly MRT-related projects in Singapore.

The role emphasizes proper documentation, safety, and collaboration with clients and consultants. Ideal candidates possess a strong civil/structural background, 8+ years of relevant experience, and RE (Tunnel) accreditation, enabling effective leadership on complex tunneling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil/structural engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Experience supervising tunneling works and MRT construction projects.
• Accredited Resident Engineer (RE) (Tunnel) under IES/ACES Specialist Accreditation Programme is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QP(Supervision) in all technical matters and performance in supervision work.
• Supervise the contractor’s works based on approved drawings and MRT specifications.
• Keep site records and all necessary site documentation to assist the QP(Supervision).
• Liaise and coordinate with client/consultants to resolve technical/interfacing issues.

• Responsible for assisting the QP(Supervision) in all technical matters and performance in the supervision work and work closely with them and all other colleagues.


• To supervise the contractor’s works based on the approved drawings and in compliance with the LTA’s specifications and requirements including safety, materials and workmanship as well as in compliance with BCA’s regulations.


• To keeping site records and all necessary site documentations in assisting the QP(Supervision) in discharge of his statutory duties.


• Liaise and coordinate with client/consultants to resolve technical and or interfacing issues with other consultants and contractors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil/Structural recognized by PE Board Singapore.


• Must have at least 8 years relevant experience as a Civil Engineer.


• Must have at least 4 years' experience being involved in supervision of tunneling works.


• Strong knowledge of Civil & Structural details, working drawings and MRT construction.


• Good supervisory and leadership skills.


• MUST be accredited as Resident Engineer (RE) (Tunnel) under IES/ACES Specialist Accreditation Programme
