Job summary

CKMbT International Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based civil and structural engineering company, is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to manage infrastructure projects on site, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. You will coordinate with QPs, review drawings, supervise REs and RTOs, and resolve technical issues while maintaining thorough site records and reporting progress.

Candidates should hold a Civil/Structural Engineering degree recognized by PE Board Singapore, with at least 8 years’ experience,

Qualifications

• Degree in civil/structural engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 4 years supervising civil infrastructure works.
• Experience leading supervision teams on viaducts and interchanges.
• RE Certificate, BCSS and LTA safety course certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise civil infrastructure projects ensuring safety, quality, and standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies and report them.
• Supervise construction activities for compliance with drawings and regulations.
• Manage and lead Resident Engineers (REs) and Resident Technical Officers (RTOs).
• Review contractor submissions and method statements for compliance and feasibility.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Attend site meetings to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all construction activities.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as directed.

Job Summary

Lead and supervise civil infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory standards. Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and manage site supervision teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Qualified Persons (QP(D)/QP(S)) to resolve design and technical issues for Temporary and Permanent Works
• Review project drawings and specifications to identify and report discrepancies to project consultants and clients
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations
• Ensure contractors adhere to safety and quality standards in line with statutory requirements
• Manage and lead Resident Engineers (REs) and Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) to deliver effective site supervision
• Review and approve contractor submissions, work method statements, and work demonstrations to ensure compliance and feasibility
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve discrepancies, preventing project delays
• Attend site meetings to identify potential issues and recommend practical solutions
• Maintain and submit comprehensive records of all project construction activities
• Perform other ad hoc duties as directed

Required competencies and certifications

• Civil and Structural Engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Proficiency in contract administration under Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC)
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years supervising civil infrastructure works such as viaducts and vehicular interchanges
• Proven experience leading supervision teams on similar civil infrastructure projects
• Commitment to safety and health on site, with excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior project experience with Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects
• Possession of RE Certificate, BCSS, and LTA Construction Safety Management course certification for QSS
