Overview

Alexandra Hospital, a member of the National University Health System (NUHS) cluster, is a historic site providing integrated, holistic care to patients. The hospital is a test bed for innovative care approaches in Singapore and is currently running a diverse portfolio of studies. Alexandra Research Centre for Healthcare In a Virtual Environment (ARCHIVE) is set-up to support the design of innovative experiments in hospital-supported, community-focused, patient-centred virtual care (vCare) models. ARCHIVE’s projects can include research studies, quality improvement projects and clinical trials that incorporate digital technology to ensure the care models are future ready.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute towards new virtual healthcare projects and manage tasks on the evaluation of existing vCare programs in the areas of telemonitoring, telecollaboration, connected ward ecosystem and virtual care centre.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Successfully manage projects from start-up to completion.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and conduct analyses.
  • Oversee study compliance to the ethics requirements and local regulations.
  • Supervise quantitative and/or qualitative analysis.
  • Develop scientific papers and disseminate study findings.
  • Prepare proposals for new grants.
  • Conduct literature reviews, including systematic reviews.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals and collaborators to support research activities.

Requirements

  • PH.D. in Public Health or Health Services Research.
  • Proven track record in clinical/public health/health services research, with outstanding management abilities and a demonstrated track record of leadership.
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong acumen with in-depth understanding of quantitative and ideally qualitative research methodologies.
  • Proficient in the use of standard statistical or qualitative software e.g., STATA, SPSS, NVivo.
  • Good scientific writing skills as demonstrated by track records of publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Able to drive research projects from design, implementation to deployment.
  • Project management capabilities and experience in driving a cohesive research team and cross-teaming environment.
  • Possess confidence to resonate with clinician investigators and research collaborators – internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
