NUS Centre for Hydrogen Innovations invites application for a Senior / Research Fellow position in the field of experimental ammonia cracking and combustion studies, targeting gas turbine combustion application. This role will be part of a dynamic research team focusing on advancing clean energy technologies and sustainable fuel applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct experimental research on ammonia cracking and combustion processes.
Develop and optimize experimental setups for fundamental and applied studies.
Perform thermochemical and kinetic analysis related to ammonia-based fuels.
Design and execute combustion diagnostics and emissions measurements.
Analyze experimental data and develop predictive models.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers and industry partners.
Publish findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences.
Assist in mentoring graduate students and junior researchers.

A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Science, or a related field.
Proven expertise in experimental combustion research, preferably in ammonia or hydrogen-based fuels.
Hands-on experience with high-temperature reactors, optical diagnostics, laser-based measurements, or gas analysis techniques.
Strong background in combustion kinetics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
Experience in data acquisition, signal processing, and computational tools.
Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in project management and industry collaboration (for Senior Research Fellow applicants).
